Creation Time, 2011, Hungary: Recycling – „… so that nothing may be lost”
You are here
It was the third time that Creation Time (8 days between the last Sunday of September and the first Sunday of October) was celebrated in Hungarian Churches in an ecumenical way.
Unlike previous years, in 2011 an ecumenical working group with Lutheran, Reformed, Methodist and Roman Catholic participants made all the arrangements for offering assistance for pastors and lay persons in their own congregations, intitutions and communities. First of all a brochure (together with a poster) was sent everywhere, that contained meditations, prayers, statements of different chuches, illustrations from literature and arts, facts of the present situation of our Earth, and action plans for a day or a whole year.
The theme of this year's Creation Time was: Recycling – „… so that nothing may be lost” (Jn 6,12). Seven parts of the story of Jesus' feeding the Five Thousand was discussed in details in regard of Creation Time.
