The Norwegian Christian Environmental Network as set up on 12 March 1999 during a meeting in the Bishops' Palace in the city of Trondheim. The enabling group consists of six people from different regions of Norway:

Rev Guldbrandsen
Bishop Bondevik
Dr Kristiansen (Tromso)
Mr Schorre (Norwegian Church Council)
Mr Kvalbin (Bergen).

The network is conected with the Norwegian Church Council, within the framework of the issue of "Consumption and Justice". The inaugural statement of the Network is not yet finished.
