German-Slovak transfer of know-how in the field of regenerative energy technology and energy saving
In four professional schools and a church Eco-center ("Eco" for Ecology and Ecumenism) didactic concepts for project-based learning have been developed with German and Slovakian partners.

On Wednesday 22 June 2011 the project was awarded by the German UNESCO- Commission and received the label of the “Official Project” of the UN-Decade "Education for Sustainable Development". This is a recognition of a significant contribution to the global educational initiative of the UN.
The Slovak partners are four vocational schools with different technical orientations, the Eco-center   of the congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Myjava and the association Alterna e.V as a local project manager.
Project manager, engineer Mark Homburg  and  the ECEN member Eberhard Mueller, working as pedagogical director in an honorary capacity, brought their committed involvement to the project.
