ECEN Assembly 2018: “To give you a future with hope" (Jeremiah 29:11)

ECEN Assembly is getting close. ECEN is looking forward to meet at this occasion all registered guests and participants and offer for them a space for fruitful sharing and discussion.

 

The aim of conference is to address some specific aspects of climate change and highlight the relationship between climate disruption, pollution and ecosystem transformation and economic activities. The Assembly will focus on the role of churches in addressing and responding to these challenges, especially on the question how can be reconciled efforts for economic and ecological justice and how they can be approach in not mutually excluding ways.

 

A particular part of the Assembly programme will be to discuss process of implementation of Paris climate agreement and the challenges linked to upcoming meeting of COP 24, taking place later this year as well in Katowice.

 

ECEN Assembly will discuss climate change in context of ethics, theology and the role of churches in addressing these challenges.

 

The Assembly will be an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ECEN and highlight the increasing task of the churches in promoting care for creation.
