ARGE Creation Responsibility(English text)
Our task is ecologically-oriented pastoral work - including Liturgy, Preaching, Diakonia. Service to humankind and God's entire creation is for us a necessary part of living Christian faith. This is the conviction we to share. The need of our times calls for clear statements and also for appropriate initiative on the part of church dignitaries.
We are mostly members of Christian parishes who seek to apply ecological criteria in our daily lives (at home, at work, and in the churches). We act on the conviction that humankind belongs to creation and is under a divine mandate to care for the earth d to use its resources responsibly.
Our Vision is a world in which humankind lives in harmony with creation. To translate this vision into living example, we seek to make church institutions models of creation-sustaining action.
We offer regular meetings and church services, newsletter, educational classes, retreats, pilgrimages, literature (information folder, ecology-related address list, documentation concerning our work and projects). Available in our office at Spiegelgasse 3, 1010 Vienna.
We seek to reach all Christians and concerned persons, especially:
the speakers of diocesan ecology committees, heads of Boards of Works, bishops, deacons, sacristans, superiors in religious orders, pastoral assistants, parsons, parish councillors, priests, pastors, teachers of religion, superintendents and vicars...
Our concern extends, within the limits of our possibilities, all over the world.
In co-operation with other ecological organisations we also address our message to political leaders.
