ECEN What's New?
The latest changes and additions to the ECEN website.

ECEN Organisation and Statements
Find out more about the structure, organisation and history of ECEN, the statements issued at its first Assemblies at Vilemov (1998) and Loccum (1999) and the report from the recent Volos Assembly (2003). See also our letter to the churches for setting aside a Time for Creation in the church's life, and our Seven Motivations for Environmental Action.

ECEN Enabling Team
The members of the team elected at the ECEN Assembly to serve the network, reflecting a mix of nationalities, regions and church traditions.

Working Groups : What issues is ECEN addressing?
ECEN has formed a series of mini-networks or coalitions to look at different key environmental issues facing the churches. New members of the working groups are always welcome.

ECEN Assemblies
ECEN holds regular assemblies about 1-2 years where members gather to discuss important themes, review the work of the network and renew relationships. The Fourth ECEN Assembly took place on 6-11 May 2003 at the Academy of Orthodox Christian Studies at Volos, Greece, on the themes of Sustainable Development and Water.

ECEN Resources Page
We have begun a resources page which currently includes liturgical and educational materials and information and updates on various environmental topics. More additions welcome!

ECEN's Inaugural Theological Statement
"Why do Churches Care for the Sustainability of the Planet?" is ECEN's inaugural Theological Statement produced for the 1998 Vilemov Assembly. It is not a final declaration but a document to open up discussion. We would to hear like your comments.

Countries in ECEN
ECEN has pages for what the churches are doing on the environment in each country in Europe. Some have quite a lot of information. Others have none. Why not send us information about activities in your country?

Links to Christian Environmental Work and Organisations
We have a page listing some links to environmental work in the churches in Europe and environmental organisations which which are linked to the churches, listed by country. Is your organisation there?

How to Add Your Information to the Website
If you are already a member of the Network and have a piece you want to add to one of the Working Groups, Countries or Linked Organisations, or to add something to the Resources page, we'd welcome your contribution.
