FINLAND

Evangelical Lutheran Church

The Church Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland has established a committee to prepare a Church Environmental Diploma. The plan is that a local congregation meeting the requirements can apply for the diploma.

You can also ask for more information from the Secretary for Social Responsibility, the Rev. Ilkka Sipiläinen. Ilkka is also the contact person of ECEN in Finland.

In the past the Lutheran church has also worked with environmental organisations in Finland on the Suomi 21 scheme for implementing Agenda 21.
