Stichting Aardewerk is a Christian environmental organization in the Netherlands. It was formed by the merger between the former Stichting Zwaluw and Vereniging de Hof van Heden. The first project run by the new organization is called Kerk op Groen, freely translated: the Church in Green light.
Both organizations were founded around 1980 with similar goals. Zwaluw started with environmental educational summer camps that will be continued in the new organization. They aimed a love for nature and awareness of the environment. Hof van heden started with activities as "anders boodschappen doen", translated as "shopping differently", and tried to establish a wind turbine.
The new foundation has been lifted in the line of their intensive on-going collaboration since 1994 and also because Christians need each other more and more to give body to good stewardship in our western hedonistic culture and economy, which is dominated by science and technology.
A subset of the information on their website is available in English for the benefit of foreign visitors.
