Working Group on Church and Environment
of the Dutch Council of Churches
The Working Group on Church and Environment is a working group of the Department on Social Affairs of the Council of Churches in the Netherlands. For a number of years already the working group has been actively involved in stimulating awareness in churches and by Christians about environmental problems. For this purpose the working group issues publications and working material on a regular basis, like a Church and Environment magazine and leaflets with liturgical suggestions. It organises workshops and offers support to (church-related) environment groups or private persons interested in the environment. The working group organized the Dutch part of international climate change petition campaign.
