The Saint Francis of Assisi Environmental Movement was set up in 1981 year as a Franciscan response to the Pope’s letter proclaiming St Francis of Assisi the patron of ecologists. Nowadays, the Movement gathers not only Franciscans, but also laics: people of different age, sex, professions, interests – all good-willed people, wanting to protect God’s creatures. See more.
