ECEN has produced a dossier of
texts (pdf 2,496KB
or Word 1,216KB) related to the
theme of water: 'Water - Source of Life.' It contains a summary
of the discussions on water at the Assembly and other texts underlining the role
and inevitability of water for life. It also speaks of the challenges
related to the sustainable protection and use of water. ECEN would like to
express thanks to all who contributed to the content of the material and to
those who were able to express their support by offering time and finances
necessary for its completion. A printed version of the dossier can be obtained
from the ECEN office.
Water was one of the two main themes of the May 2003 ECEN Assembly in Volos
and we heard from key speakers on this issue. At the Assembly we initiated a working group
on Water and we have since produced a dossier of texts (see below). However,
the group still needs more members if it is to function well. If you would like to
join, please contact the facilitator.
