It was the third time that Creation Time (8 days between the last Sunday of September and the first Sunday of October) was celebrated in Hungarian Churches in an ecumenical way.

In New York, the UN has opened the International Year of Forests in order to increase the awareness for the sustainable use and development of forest resources, and for the conservation of the diversity of forests on earth.

Forests are important for the growth of cultivated plants as it regulates the water supply, provides for a balanced local climate and protects traffic infrastructures. Between the tops of the trees and the tips of the roots there are happening a myriad of living activities of which even we humans are a part.
