UN Climate Summit 2014 – Initiative: Join the Global Climate Chorus

Climate change is having an increasing impact on live of people around the globe. This is the reason why UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has invited world leaders, from governments, finance, business, and civil society to participate to the Climate Summit 2014. World leaders are invited to bring to the Summit announcements of actions that will reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and mobilize political will for a meaningful legal agreement in 2015. Climate Summit 2014 provides an opportunity for leaders to present and share an ambitious vision, anchored in action that will enable a meaningful, global agreement in Paris in 2015. In order to support the Summit OURVOICES invites faith communities around the world to join in prayers and meditations. The purpose is to create a global chorus of outdoor prayers and meditations for the climate, showing our concern about climate change, its impact on the most vulnerable and on future generations, and show our hope and support for our leaders to take action. More about the proposal you can find here. You may join the initiative in whatever way you may find appropriate.
